Jensen, Annie Christine

Annie Christine Jensen daughter of Eskild and Mary Sorensen was born November 22, 1921 and passed away November 14, 2004.
Annie was predeceased by her parents, husband Anders Jensen, three brothers, one sister and one great grandson. She leaves to mourn her passing; seven children, Harry (Rita), Borge, Delbert (Dorene), Linda, Deanna (Wayne), Geret (Debbie), Mavis (Andre), 19 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Annie was born and raised southwest of Hardy on SE31-5-21-W2. She attended Green Lake School and helped at home until marrying Anders Jensen in 1939. They then began building up a farm and raising their own family. They farmed south of Hardy until 1972 when they retired to Radville. Andy passed away in 1974 and shortly after she moved to Weyburn and purchased a home there. She was a home person and dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to come for meals or lunch or to stay over. Her pleasures were being with family, working in her yard and her sewing machine. Many of her children and grandchildren have one of her patch quilts that she got so much enjoyment making.
As she got older and felt she could no longer independently look after her home and yard she rented out her house and moved to Legion Towers. Annie enjoyed it there very much with her family visiting and socializing with her many new friends. When Annie’s health failed she moved to Souris Valley Extended Care Center where she spent the last two years. She enjoyed the good care she received and the company of her room mates, especially her good friend Lorna who was a room mate with her for the last two years. Her mind stayed very keen and sharp to the very end so very much enjoyed visiting her large extended family and friends and was always interested what everyone was doing.
Annie’s whole family will miss her very much, may she rest in peace.
